SPD Director Conducted Inspections on Bus/PUJ Terminals

The District Director of the Southern Police District (SPD), PCSUPT JOSE ARNE M DE LOS SANTOS, PhD. together with his Staff made their rounds to the different Bus/PUJ terminals within SPD area of responsibility as early as 7:00 o’clock this morning, October 29, 2010. The said inspection is a part of the “OPLAN KALULUWA”, PNP’s annual security preparations for UNDAS.

It can be noted that during the inspection of DD, SPD majority of the Bus/PUJ terminals within Southern Metropolis particularly Pasay and Muntinlupa area, a police assistance desks (PADs) had already been in placed to provide assistance to passengers/commuters. The police assistance desks were complimented with Non-Government Organizations such as the PCPAN. Mobile patrol cars are also on standby ready to respond to any eventualities.

PCSUPT DELOS SANTOS also ordered all Chiefs of Police of the seven (7) Police Stations under SPD to include traffic plan in their security preparations to ensure a peaceful observance of UNDAS particularly on areas leading to and from the cemeteries.

Intensified police visibility (foot/mobile) patrol and checkpoint will still be in effect to deter/warn unscrupulous individuals from taking advantage of this religious activity to conduct their nefarious activities.
